Appointments System

From the 1^st August 2007 we changed our appointments system to make it easier for you to book appointments in advance.

Instead of joining a long telephone queue at 8am in the morning patients are being asked to call anytime between 10am and 6pm to make an appointment for the future. There will still be appointments available for that day for the small number of people that need to see a doctor if they have become unwell in the previous 12 hours.

The new system is being closely monitored to ensure that it is achieving the desired results. The subject will be discussed by the patient group to make sure that patients are getting the best possible service with the available resources. The practice is very keen to get patients involved not only with improving the appointments system but with their medical care as a whole and new initiatives will gradually be put in place that enable individuals to take ownership of their own health care needs.
